Shelby Miller was hired in August 2025 as an assistant coach, where she will work primarily with the pitching staff.

Miller has spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach at Fresno State, helping the Bulldogs to a 149-108 record during that span. Over the past two seasons, she has helped develop and guide back-to-back Mountain West Pitcher of the Year winners in Taylor Gilmore and Serayah Neiss.

Miller's coaching career includes stops at Utah Valley University and Kansas Wesleyan University before her time at Fresno State. At Utah Valley, Miller served as an assistant coach from 2019–20 before a brief stint as the interim head coach in 2020. While on staff at Kansas Wesleyan, Miller served as the interim head coach, assistant coach, and graduate assistant from 2016–18. During her time there, she helped lead the program to a conference championship, accumulating five first-team All-KCAC selections, three second-team honorees, six honorable mentions, and one Golden Glove winner.

Miller spent four years as a pitcher during her collegiate career from 2012–15 at Florida International University, where she was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team in 2012. She earned a degree in hospitality and tourism management before earning an MBA at Kansas Wesleyan.
