Softball Supplements Roster For The 2027 Season

The Beach has added five new players to the upcoming roster.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Kendall Fearn and her staff have added four transfers and one high school recruit over the summer, rounding out the team as the Beach looks to once again compete at the highest levels in the Big West and nationally.
Emmalyn Brinka | Pitcher | Chandler, Ariz. | New Mexico/Montana/Utah State
Long Beach State will bring in a veteran pitcher in Emmalyn Brinka. Brinka spent the last two years at Utah State, receiving an additional year of eligibility after missing the final three months of the 2026 season with the Aggies. She still led Utah State in ERA last season, and that came off of a solid 2025 season where she picked up nine wins for Utah State and led the staff in innings pitched and strikeouts, with 58 over 105.1 innings pitched. Prior to her time in Logan, Utah, Brinka also pitched effectively and often for Montana as a sophomore and New Mexico as a freshman.

Emily Delgado | Pitcher | Corona, Calif. | Southern Utah/Southern Illinois
Another pitcher with plenty of experience is Emily Delgado. Delgado was the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Year, going 11-5 with a 2.40 ERA and adding five saves in 93.1 innings pitched, including 77 strikeouts. That followed two seasons with Southern Utah, where she was the ace of the staff, pitching over 100 innings in both her freshman and sophomore seasons.

Mia Jacobs | Pitcher | Litchfield Park, Ariz. | Canyon View HS
Mia Jacobs is a top recruit out of Canyon View High School in Arizona, where she was a two-sport athlete in both basketball and softball while also showing her athleticism as both a pitcher and a hitter. Jacobs posted a 3.10 ERA with 75 strikeouts as a senior, while hitting .367 with four home runs. Jacobs batted .397 with 30 hits and 25 RBIs while recording a 1.06 ERA with 30 strikeouts in her junior season.

Jada Lewis | Outfield | Vallejo, Calif. | Arizona State/Oregon State
Long Beach State adds another impact transfer in Jada Lewis. A senior, Lewis was a Top 100 recruit out of high school, spending one season with Arizona State in 2024 before transferring to Oregon State. A first-time All-WCC selection after leading the Beavers with a .383 batting average in 2025, Lewis has combined for 30 stolen bases over the last two seasons and started nearly 90 games for Oregon State with an on-base percentage over .400 in each of the last two years.

She has incredible drive and big dreams for her life both on and off the field, which our coaching staff recognized and admired very quickly in the recruiting process. Nailynn Marshall | Infielder | Elk Grove, Calif. | California/Iowa
Rated as a Top 15 recruit out of high school, Marshall started as a freshman during her first full Division I season at Cal, ultimately playing in 55 games while hitting .244. Moving to Iowa for her sophomore season, Marshall again played a major role, starting in 32 games for the Hawkeyes with a .386 on-base percentage, walking 22 times and hitting .236 on the year. In her collegiate career, Marshall is a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts.
