Two-Time First-Team All-Big West selection and 2019 Big West Defensive Player of the Year Nichole Fry will make the transition from four-year starter to a member of the coaching staff, assisting with the program as an undergraduate assistant coach in 2020.
Fry will join the coaching staff while completing her undergraduate degree in Family Education. An outstanding defensive shortstop, Fry was a four-year starter an anchor at the top of the lineup, finishing her career as Long Beach State’s career runs scored leader while also ranking in the Top 10 in doubles, triples, hits, home runs and RBI while finishing as the program’s 11th career .300 hitter.
