Justin Koeppen rejoins the Long Beach State men's and women's programs for his fourth year as an assistant coach in 2015.
Koeppen made his return to The Beach as a coach in 2012 after just a few years away. He spent four years playing for head coach Gavin Arroyo from 2006-09 at Long Beach State. Since graduating from Long Beach State in December 2009, Koeppen has served in a variety of roles both inside and outside of water polo. He coached two top five teams during the 2010 Junior Olympics, while leading four teams to the 2011 Junior Olympics.
Koeppen managed both the 2010 and 2011 WINTERFEST Water Polo Tournament, while also coaching a top three national adult team. He also served as the commissioner of an adult master's league. A four-year starter and two-time captain at LBSU, Koeppen has spent the last three years serving as a therapist for the Autism Behavioral Consultants. He has worked as the club operations manager for the International Water Polo Club since 2007 and served as a camp director.
