
Twelve Beach Players Named To ACWPC Women’s Academic All-American Team

Long Beach State was also named to the Team GPA List.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Association of College Water Polo Coaches announced the Women's All-Academic Awards for the 2025 season on Wednesday, recognizing student-athletes' efforts in the pool and the classroom. Long Beach State had 12 players selected and was also named to the Team GPA list.
The 2025 awards recognized over 500 student-athletes who were committed to maintaining high academic standards while excelling in their sport. These students maintained at least a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Brooklyn Plomp, Gaby Patenaude, Jamie Oberman, Kayla Melville, and Zelma Koka were all named to the Outstanding list for maintaining a 3.71–4.00 GPA during the 2025 season, the highest honor awarded.
Ashlee Dobell, Chelsea Oliver, Chiara Amoroso, Emma Seehafer, Hailey Multz, and Olivia Dam were named to the Superior list for their achievements in the classroom, maintaining a 3.41–3.70 GPA.
Rita Gurri Capel was named to the Excellent list for maintaining a 3.20–3.40 GPA for the season.
Long Beach State was named to the Team GPA list for achieving a 3.38 GPA during the 2025 season. The Beach was one of 59 colleges and universities named to the list.
