High School: Spent three seasons on varsity at Rancho Cucamonga High School under head coach RJ Farrell, earning All-Baseline League honors every year ... Made 22 starts across his junior and senior seasons, recording a 2.89 ERA ... Struck out 95 batters and walked 23 in 133.1 innings pitched in his final two seasons of high school ... Threw a no-hitter as a sophomore in 2014, shutting out Pasadena HS, 3-0, with no walks and seven strikeouts ... Tossed four complete games his senior season, including a three-hit shutout in a 1-0 win over Upland HS ... Made the Superintendent's Honor Roll and President's Honor Roll in high school.
