2019 (Junior): Led the team with 24 appearances on the mound, all in relief … Finished the season with a 1-4 record and a 4.08 ERA, striking out 42 batters in 39.2 innings pitched … Collected multiple strikeouts in 14 of his 24 appearances … Opened the year with three consecutive scoreless outings, covering 6.2 innings … Had a season-long outing against TCU on Mar. 8, allowing one run in 4.0 innings while striking out a season-high seven batters … Collected his first career victory on May 4 against UC Riverside, throwing 2.0 scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts.
Prior To LBSU: Played two years for Sierra College, and was a unanimous first-team All-Big 8 selection both seasons … Went 13-0 as a sophomore with a 2.55 ERA and 95 strikeouts in 102 IP … Named All-Northern California and second-team All-Region as a sophomore … During his freshman season, went 4-3 with a 2.61 ERA and 78 strikeouts in 76 innings.
High School: A three-year varsity player for Placer High School … In those three seasons he compiled a 14-8 record with a 1.97 ERA and 207 strikeouts in 168 innings pitched … As a senior, hit .456 at the plate with 22 runs and 14 RBIs in 22 games with nine stolen bases … On the mound that season, was 4-2 with a 0.94 ERA, striking out 61 batters in 44.2 IP … Was a two-time All-League selection, won his team’s Most Valuable Player award as a senior, and was twice his team’s Pitcher of the Year … Also picked up an Optimism All-Star selection and was Honorable Mention All-Metro as a senior.
