2007 Pre-Season: Named to the initial list of candidates for the Wallace Award, given to the nation’s top player.

LBSU 2006: Second team All-Big West... starting center fielder played in all 56 games with 55 starts primarily as the team’s leadoff hitter... batted .309 with 43 runs, seven doubles, a league-leading four triples, three homers and 33 RBI... led the team, and ranked in the top-10 in runs and ranked second in RBI... ranked third on the team in batting... 14 multi-hit games ranked third on the team... had a 16-game hit streak during the year... began the season batting .220 on the season in late March before finishing above .300... went 5-for-6 with a two-run homer and an RBI double at UC Davis as part of two multi-hit games on the weekend... hit his first home run of the season, a solo shot at UCLA, on April 18 as part of a two-hit night... had eight multi-hit games in April... had three hits six times on the season... had four hits at California, including two RBI singles to begin the year on February 10... his third home run came at UC Riversde on May 21, a solo shot... he also had a sacrifice fly in the game.

Prior to LBSU: Was the Starting center fielder spent the 2004 and 2005 seasons at Santa Clara, earning honorable mention All-WCC honors in 2004 after batting .300 with 67 hits, 46 runs, 13 doubles, eight homers and 27 RBI… played in 55 of a possible 56 games as a freshman… batted .324 as a sophomore in 2005, suffering a season-ending thumb injury in April, scoring 27 runs, and producing 11 doubles, four homers and 19 RBIs…. he played in 87 games in his career, batting .308.

High School: Two-sport star at Archbishop Mitty in San Jose, he earned four varsity letters in football and baseball, as he was named the Mitty Athlete of the Year in 2002… four-time first team all-league performer in baseball… named second team All-State as a sophomore and moved up to the first team as a junior… was one of eight finalists for Mr. Baseball in California as well… batted .512 with eight homers, 45 RBI and 53 hits as a senior as the team was ranked in Baseball America’s top-25 and ranked eighth in the state… in football he was a two-time first team All-League  performer at running back, earning first team All-State honors his senior year (ranking second to future Heisman Trophy Winner Reggie Bush) that same year… also named All-Mid Penisnsula and the Sports Focus Player of the Year… rushed for 1300 yards with 26 touchdowns and compiled 2000 all purpose yards as a senior as the Monarchs won league and ranked 12th in the state… named one of the top-50 players for the Giants Area Code Team in 2002.

Personal: Son of Leonard and Debbie Perry… little league teammate of 2005 first round pick Troy Tulowitzki (Rockies/LBSU) and was originally recruited out of high school by the Dirtbags… majoring in communications.
