High School: Played four years of varsity baseball at San Dimas High School … Was named a Perfect Game Pre-Season All-American prior to the start of his senior season … Also earned first-team All-League honors at San Dimas as well as being a San Gabriel Valley All-Star … In his four years, he slashed .343/.400/.487 with 69 hits, 20 of which were extra bases … He had a power surge as a senior, with three home runs and .500 slugging percentage … However, his breakout year was his sophomore season where he hit .522 coming off the bench and posted a 1.161 OPS … He also showed signs of speed on the base paths, going a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases.
