2017 FIRST-TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE
2017 (R-Senior): Named first-team All-Conference ... Went 3-1 with a 1.86 ERA in 27 relief appearances, picking up five saves along the way. He struck out 38 batters in 38.2 innings and issued just seven walks.
2016 (R-Junior): Made 16 appearances out of the Dirtbags bullpen, compiling a 3-0 record with a 1.29 ERA in 21.0 innings pitched ... led the team by holding opponents to a .174 batting average ... missed six weeks of the season after suffering an injury during the UC Riverside series (Apr. 22) ... struck out a career-high five batters in 2.1 innings against UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 2) ... did not allow a run in his first five appearances of the season, working 7.1 scoreless innings ... allowed just 12 hits on the season and only two went for extra bases ... worked a scoreless 13th inning to pick up the win in LBSU's 1-0 victory over Nebraska on Mar. 5 ... also picked up a win in extra-innings relief at Cal State Fullerton (Mar. 24), striking out the final batter in the 11th inning of a 5-4 Dirtbags victory ... won his second game of the Fullerton series two days later (Mar. 26) as he pitched a pair of scoreless innings to qualify as the pitcher of record ... made a brief appearance in the NCAA Regional, pitching 0.1 innings against Miami (FL) on June 4.
2015 (Redshirt): Utilized redshirt year due to injury.
Prior To LBSU: Played one season at Cochise College (2014), helping the team to a second consecutive appearance at the NJCAA World Series ... went 6-3 on the mound with a pair of saves and a 3.60 ERA ... struck out 70 over 70.2 innings pitched ... Began his collegiate career at Arizona Christian, going 1-0 in five appearances on the mound in 2013.
High School: A first-team Small School All-American at River Valley High School as a two-way player ... he was also the state MVP for Division III ... led his team to a state championship as a senior in 2012 ... went 9-0 on the mound as a senior with a 0.89 ERA over 47 innings pitches ... tallied 63 strikeouts while walking only 18 ... also hit .527 with 49 RBI as a senior ... was a star on the football team as well, earning a spot on the All-State first team as a free safety.
Personal: The son of Wayne and Michelle ... graduated in the top 10 percent of his high school class and was a member of the National Honor Society ... enjoys fishing and hunting.
