2005 (Freshman): Reserve outfielder batted .224 over 31 games and 18 starts... scored nine runs and drove in seven runs... had four doubles and one homer on the season... went 3-for-4 on the base paths... started 10 times in center, seven in left and one in right on the season... had three multi-hit games on the season... batted .400 over his opening weekend at Arizona State, having to start the final two games after centerfielder Sean Boatright was injured... in those two games, batted 4-for-10 with three runs and a double, including a three-hit day at ASU on January 30... proceeded to bat .316 over his first five Divison-I games... went 2-for-4 against Cal on February 20 in one of two starts of the doubleheader... biggest game came in the opener of the NCAA Regional against Rhode Island at Blair Field on June 3... went 3-for-4 with five RBIs including a double and a three-run homer in his first start since March 6... then went 1-for-4 in a loss to USC the next day... earned All-Region honors for the tournament.
High School: Lettered three years in baseball and one year in cross country… named second team all-league as a sophomore... earned the team’s Silver Slugger Award as a senior and was a second team all-league selection as a sophomore... batted .390 with 21 RBI’s, eight doubles and four homers as a senior and batted .350 with 20 RBI, eight doubles and four homers as a sophomore... his game-winning homer in the 2003 CIF playoffs over Edison High advanced Servite to the quarterfinals... he finished second in a Home run Derby at a tournament in San Luis Obispo in 2004 and hit a homer at the Orange County All-Star Game that same year.
