Summer League / MLB: Two-time Summer All-American by Baseball America in 2002 and 2003… set a Team USA record with an 0.38 ERA and 45.2 consecutive scorelss innings for the U.S. National Team in 2003, earning a silver medal at the Pan American Games and Player of the Summer honors... named Baseball America's Player of the Summer... in 2002, excelled for the Anchorage Bucs compiling the third best ERA and second most strikeouts in the Alaska Summer League in 2002… went 5-1 with an impressive 1.11 ERA over a team-best 64.2 innings… gave up just 35 hits, and struck out 73… walked 21 and gave up 13 runs (eight earned)… pitched one shutout and combined on another… in nine starts, had two complete games… teammates with fellow Dirtbag Neil Jamison.

LBSU Career: Arguably one of the top pitchers in the nation... has gone 22-8 with a 2.95 ERA after a spectacular sophomore season... has started 36 games with four complete games, of which two were shutouts... has combined on four others... has tossed 226.0 innings, striking out 218 and walking just 52... opponents are batting .202 against him... first team All-American and the Big West’s co-Pitcher of the Year in 2003... has a serious chance to catch Andy Croghan’s school-record of 33 wins as he currently ranks fifth all-time at LBSU in career wins, starts and strikeouts... six-time Big West Pitcher of the Week and a two-time National Pitcher of the Week.

2003 (Sophomore): Named co-Big West Pitcher of the Year with teammate Abe Alvarez (a second round pick of the Red Sox in 2003), the first time in collegiate baseball that a set of teammates was named the conference’s co-pitchers of the year... first team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and Baseball America and a second team All-American by Sports Weekly... named co-Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Regional in Long Beach along with catcher Todd Jennings for a complete-game five hitter against Washington, allowing two runs while striking out six... went 14-4 (third-best in a single season) with a 1.96 ERA over 133.1 innings (fourth-best in a single-season), striking out a school-record tying 144 while walking just 20... opponents batted just .182 against him... gave up just 87 hits over 19 starts, with three complete games... pitched one shutout and combined on two others... his 1.96 ERA was the third-lowest all-time of any 49er starter, trailing just Jim Davis’ ERA in 1976 (1.21) and John Keisler’s ERA in 1970 (1.53)... had an 0.50 ERA over his first three starts as ERA never rose above 2.54 all season, hovering in the low 2.00’s during the latter portion of the season... ranked 16th nationally in ERA, third in victories, and seventh in strikeouts... led Big West in every statistical category; wins, ERA, strikeouts, opponent batting average, starts and innings pitched... earned Big West Pitcher of the Week honors four times (March 3, April 7, May 12 and May 19) and national player or pitcher of the week honors two times (May 12 and May 19)... reached the seventh inning in 14 of his 19 starts... struck out double digits five times, including a career tying 13 against UC Riverside on May 10 and CS Northridge on April 5... against the Highlanders tossed 7.1 innings, giving up two runs on four hits, striking out 13 while walking one earning Collegiate Baseball’s co-Player of the Week, NCBWA’s Pitcher of the Week, collegebaseballinsider.com’s Regional Player of the Week and co-Big West Pitcher of the Week honors... after giving up a solo homer in the first retired 24 of the next 27, including strings of 10 and eight in a row, broken up only by an error... struck out 13 in a complete game two-hit shutout against CS Northridge on April 5 earning Player of the Week honors, at one point retiring 18 in a row and 25 of the final 27... struck out 10 and walked one over 7.1 innings against LSU on March 1, giving up one run on four hits earning POW honors from the Big West, at one point retiring 13 in a row... pitched 14.0 scoreless innings over two starts against USC (6.0 IP) and Washington State (6.2 IP) in mid-February... earned collegebaseballinsider.com’s National Pitcher of the Week and BWC POW accolades after a complete game win at CS Fullerton to clinch the Big West title... gave up one run on four hits, striking out nine, as the final pitch (a strikeout) registered 97 mph... struck out seven and gave up one run on six hits over 8.0 innings against Cal Poly on April 18, retiring 12 of the final 14 batters he faced... stellar week against UCLA and CS Fullerton, in late March, striking out 17 without a pitcher of the week award... pitched to the minimum over 6.0 innings against UCLA, giving up two hits while striking out 10 of 18 batters including 10 of last 11 before striking out seven more over 5.1 innings in no-decision against the Titans, leaving with a 4-2 lead... despite retiring the final 18 Bears he faced over 7.0 innings, gave up four runs in the first and a lead off walk in the second before embarking on 18 in a row... started season 2-2.

2002 (Freshman): Honorable mention Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball… third on the team with eight wins, going 8-4 with a 4.37 ERA… 17 starts, finishing third on the team with 92.2 innings… struck out 74, second-best on the team and walked 32… opponents batted .230, the best of any LBSU starter… two-time Big West Conference Pitcher of the Week on March 11 and May 20… pitched 6.2 no-hit innings, on his way to a one hit 7.0 inning performance against Arizona on March 10 to pick up his first win and first award… struck out 21 batters over 15.0 innings in winning second weekly honor, including a career-best 12 Waves on May 14… at one point struck he out seven of eight Pepperdine batters… five days later, he struck out nine and walked one in a four-hit complete game against Pacific… the complete game was the first by any LBSU pitcher in 147 games… began the season 0-2 with a 6.86 ERA, before his first win over Arizona… after his first four starts, he proceeded to go 5-0 with a 2.12 ERA over his next six, a span of 34.0 innings in which he gave up just eight earned runs from March 19 to April 14… battled through his next three starts, pitching just 9.1 innings, while giving up 20 earned runs… came back with authority after that, striking out 21 the next week to earn BWC Pitcher of the Week honors and closed the season with a 1.53 ERA over his final four starts from May 14 to June 1... struck out seven and walked two over 7.0 shutout innings to eliminate CS Fullerton in the NCAA Regional… gave up just three hits.

High School: Lettered three years in baseball and two years in basketball at Simi Valley High School... All-CIF, All-League and first team All-Los Angeles Times in baseball... also named a Ventura County All-Star... All-League, All-CIF and a Ventura County All-Star in basketball.

Personal: Son of Dave and Gail Weaver... cousin, Jed, plays football for the 49ers, cousin, Dan, plays football at Oregon and brother, Jeff, is a pitcher with the Dodgers... Majoring in Criminology.
