2007 (Junior): Started 34 games in his first year at The Beach, with 25 starts in right field, one in left field and eight at designated hitter... had a team-best seven home runs to go along with a .280 average and nine doubles... drove in 28 and scored 23 times during the season... had 12 multi-hit games... produced a .490 slugging percentage and a .323 on-base percentage... went 3-for-4 with five RBIÂ Â at Pacific on April 29 with a two-run double and two-run single... added a solo home run the day before in Stockton as part of a two-hit afternoon... went 4-for-5 with two RBIÂ thanks to a solo home run and an RBI single at Arizona State on March 10... added a two-hit day the next day at ASU... drove in two runs against CS Northridge on April 13 and 14 after hitting an RBI double against Pepperdine on April 11... hit a three-run home run at UC Santa Barbara on May 13.
Prior to LBSU: Spent two seasons (2005-06) as a two-way player at Cal, batting .152 with eight runs and eight RBI... on the mound produced an 0-0 record and 3.48 ERA over nine appearances... went just 3-for-32 over 13 games and eight starts as a sophomore... missed part of his freshman year due to an ankle injury and batted .200 in 14 games and nine starts had two hits verus Arizona and Pacific... only home run, a solo shot as part of a three RBI day, came on February 13, 2005.
High School: Three times named first team All-CIF and first team All-Orange County at Capistrano Valley High, while earning South Coast League MVP honors following a .410 average and 14 home runs... also drove in 41 runs and went 10-2 with a 1.41 on the mound... hit .391 with 12 homers and had a 12-1 record and 1.62 ERA as a junior and hit .500 with 11 homers and a 7-3 record and 2.14 ERA... drove in 27 runs in 2003 and 37 RBIÂ as a sophomore... as a prep freshman pitched in the CIF Championship at Dodger Stadium as the team went on to win CIFs that year.
