2009 (Sophomore) Led the Dirtbag pitching staff with 14 starts ... Worked mainly as the Saturday starter for Long Beach State ... Showed great control with 42 strikeouts to just 13 walks ... Posted a 4-7 record with a 5.61 ERA ... Picked up a no decision in his first start against USC, throwing 7.0 shutout innings, giving up three hits and striking out five (2/21) ... Threw 8.0 innings of one-hit ball vs. UNLV with two strikeouts and no walks (3/28) ... One out short of a complete game vs UC Riverside, going 8.2 innings while giving up one unearned run in his second win of the season (4/4) ...
