2009 (Sophomore) Led the Dirtbag pitching staff with 14 starts ... Worked mainly as the Saturday starter for Long Beach State ... Showed great control with 42 strikeouts to just 13 walks ... Posted a 4-7 record with a 5.61 ERA ... Picked up a no decision in his first start against USC, throwing 7.0 shutout innings, giving up three hits and striking out five (2/21) ... High School: Skipped his senior season at Wilson HS to join LBSU a year early as he turned 18 years old in August, 2007 ...
