2021 (Freshman): Selected in the 12th round of the MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians, 366th overall ... A Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American … Named first-team All-Conference … Led the team in batting average (.366), on-base percentage (.481), runs (37), hits (59), walks (24), hit by pitches (16), stolen bases (14), and tied for the team lead in total bases (92) … Recorded 18 multi-hit games, including four three-hit efforts … Also had seven multi-RBI games that included a three-RBI performance on April 18 at Pacific … Reached base safely in the team’s first 26 games, and 27 straight going back to the end of 2020 … Had a 16-game hit streak beginning on April 2 and ending on May 1 … His .366 average is the highest by a Dirtbag since 2010 while his .481 on-base percentage is the best since 2008 … Became just the 17th Long Beach State player to record a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage since 1998.
2020: 2020 season shortened due to COVID-19 pandemic (granted extra season of eligibility) … Led Long Beach State with a .400 batting average, playing in all 15 games … Started 12 games, all in center field … Slugged a team-best .511 with a .491 OBP … Shared the team lead with three stolen bases … Went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one double against Cal (Feb. 16) … Named Big West Player of the Week March 2 after going 7-for-12 with a .688 OBP, double, three runs, three RBIs and a stolen base against San Diego and Mississippi State … Had six multi-hit games … Had an eight-game hitting streak from Feb. 22 to Mar. 6 … During his hitting streak he had 13 hits, four RBIs and scored five runs … Doubled in the final game of the year against Xavier (Mar. 8).
2019 (Redshirt): Appeared in 10 games and made five starts in the outfield as a freshman before his season was derailed due to injury … Collected hits in his first game and final game of the season before taking a medical redshirt … Made his debut on Feb. 17 at Florida and singled … Also recorded a base hit Mar. 10 against TCU.
High School: A four-year varsity player for Aliso Niguel High School … Named All-South Coast League three times from 2016-18 … Named first-team All-CIF and All-County as a senior … A Kiwanis South All-Star selection in 2018 … Recorded school records in hit by pitch (20) and stolen bases (23) as a senior … Led all of Orange County and Division I with 41 runs scored his senior year, reaching base safely in all 30 games that season … Started seven different positions in high school, appearing everywhere except on the mound and at first base … Hit at least .330 in all four seasons of high school, led by his .384 average as a senior with four home runs and 25 RBIs … Started a total of 120 games during his high school career … Also played for Quakes Baseball Club in Lake Forest.
