Summer League: Played for the Danville Dans in the Summer of 2005 in the Central Illinois League, earning post-season all-star honors, after ranking seventh in the league in runs (34), eighth in on-base percentage (.435) and 17th in batting (.300)... started all 40 games, as Danville reached the CICL finals, producing eight doubles, one triple and four homers for a .457 slugging percentage... also walked 29 times and stole 7-of-9 bases... had a .963 fielding percentage.
2005 (Junior): Appeared in 56 games, starting 55 at second base, batting .264 with 19 runs and 12 RBI... had five doubles and three homers... had 12 multi-hit games on the season, including a four-hit game against LMU, going 4-for-4 with two RBI on March 8... that was a start of a six-game hit streak... fielded at a .964 clip... led the team with 12 sacrifices on the season... produced an eight-game hit streak in late April and early May, which raised his batting average 25 points to .275 and finished the season hitting safely in 12 of his final 16 games... hit his second collegiate homer at Arizona State on January 30, as he drove in three... went 3-for-5 with an RBI double on January 29 at Arizona State... went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a two-run homer against UC Davis on April 30... hit a solo homer on May 7 at UC Santa Barbara... had a two-run single and a steal as part of a two-hit day against UC Davis on April 30.
2004 (Sophomore0: Made 36 starts at second base, missing four weeks (20 games) of the season from mid-March to mid-April with a left wrist injury suffered before the season... had six multi-hit games... appeared in 38 games with 36 starts, batting .257 with 12 runs and seven RBI... went 5-for-9 in last two games of the Cal Poly series after returning from the injury... went 3-for-4 with two runs, including an RBI single in his first game back at Cal Poly and then had a steal and two singles on April 25 the next day... hit his first career home run at Miami on May 28, following that up with a 3-for-4 day with an RBI triple and a double the next day.
2003 (Freshman): Batted .288 with 13 runs and 21 RBI as a starter at second base for 37 of his 38 starts... started once at designated hitter... laid down eight bunts and stole eight of 10 bases... the eight steals ranked second on the team... helped team lead the nation in fielding percentage and set a new school-record, fielding at a .976 clip, committing just four errors... 11 multi-hit games... went 7-for-13 in Pacific series in early May with two RBI doubles... two-out, two-run double started a five-run fifth versus USC on February 7... started season batting .296 in February... went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, including a two-run single to make it 2-0 on April 26 at UC Santa Barbara... had three hits including an RBI double on May 2 at Pacific, adding an RBI double and two hits the next two days... went 2-for-4 with an RBI at CS Fullerton on May 17... had two triples at Loyola Marymount on April 22... two-out, two-run single against Washington State on February 14, one of two hits... had a two-run double along with two hits against USC on February 7... pinch-ran for Tim Hutting and got two stolen bases the rest of the way on April 6.
High School: Earned three varsity letters at Galena HS... named the High Desert League Player of the Year in 2002, batting .483 with 11 homers and 18 stolen bases... named honorable mention all-region for the Reno area as a junior... team were state runners-up in 2001.
