During non-conference play, when he was used exclusively as the team's closer, posting a 0.68 ERA in 13.1 innings pitched across 12 appearances ... Collected eight saves and recorded an impressive 19 strikeouts against just three walks ... On the season, Rivera struck out 45 batters in 36.2 innings, while only issuing five walks.
2017 (Sophomore): Named second-team All-Conference ... Made 26 appearances out of the bullpen, going 1-2 with a 2.60 ERA while collecting a team-leading 13 saves ... That brought his career save total to 26, tying him for second in program history with Josh Alliston and Neil Jamison ... Allowed just 21 hits in 34.2 innings while racking up an impressive 47 strikeouts ... Led the team in batting average against, allowing opposing batters to hit just .172 against him ...
