2008 (Sophomore): Pitched in 15 games, starting eight times ... Went 5-3 with a 2.61 ERA ... Pitched 48.1 innings, striking out 31 while walking 14 ... Opponents hit .220 against him.

Prior to LBSU: Appeared in six games with a 9.31 ERA over 9.2 innings for Arizona in 2007... gave up 14 hits and struck out nine and walked seven for the 42-17 and Regional-bound Wildcats... opponents batted .318 against him....Redshirted the 2006 season.

High School: Two-year letterman in baseball and basketball at Dana Hills HS... was named the U.S. Army[apos]s Distinguished Athlete of the Year following his senior year... produced a 1.94 ERA and had three complete games as a senior, including a no-hitter... averaged 15 points and eight rebounds per game and led the league in blocks as a senior basketball player, leading his team to a school-record 20-8 record and second round appearance in the CIF playoffs.
