Summer League / MLB: Drafted in the 48th round by the Devil Rays out of high school... teamed with fellow Dirtbag Brett Andrade for Fairbanks in the Alaska Summer League in 2003... led the ASL in runs with 32, batting .285 with five doubles and a triple... drove in 16 over 51 games... also stole five bases... played in the Cape Cod League in the summer of 2002... batted .159 for the Brewster Whitecaps over 29 games and 82 at-bats... scored seven runs and drove in three... one double.
2003 (Sophomore): First team All-Big West at utility, successfully moving from behind the plate, to first and then to right during the season...
