Summer League/MLB: Batted .288 over 31 games for the Peninsula Pilots in the 2003 Coastal Plains Summer League... teammates with Steve Velazco... had 18 runs and 11 RBI, including five doubles... also had eight steals.
2003 (Junior): Batted .200 with four runs and four RBI, including a homer, triple and double over 25 at-bats... appeared in 14 games, starting seven, six of which were in left, one at designated hitter... pinch-hit RBI double against Cal on February 22... went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI including a solo homer and an RBI single at Pacific on May 2... the homer was the tail end of a back-to-back-to-back assault in the second, which saw The Beach set a single-game record with seven homers on the day.
Prior to LBSU: Named Irvine Valley College’s Athlete of the Year in 2002... left the school as the all-time leader in homers (9) and doubles (24)... batted .302 with 54 runs, 47 RBI, 24 doubles, 41 walks and nine homers from 2001 to 2002... batted .289 as a sophomore with 35 runs, 32 RBI, 18 doubles, five homers and 30 walks... led the club with a .522 slugging percentage and had a .425 on-base percentage... batted .321 with 19 runs, 15 RBI, six doubles and four homers as a freshman... also threw 8.2 innings on the mound in his career... compiled a 3.7 GPA being named to the Dean’s List and graduating Cum Laude.
High School: Lettered two years in baseball for the El Toro HS Chargers... first team All-Sea View League as a senior... set saves record with seven in 1999... team reached the semifinals of the CIF playoffs... honor roll student... earned the El Toro Golden Torch award.
Personal: Son of Robert and Kathy Pearce... Plays beach volleyball in his free time... Majoring in communications.
