MLB/Summer League: Drafted in the 45th round in 2001 by the Braves.
Prior to LBSU: Spent the 2002 and 2003 seasons at San Jose City College… Went 4-8 over 81.2 innings with a 4.74 ERA as a sophomore with 60 strikeouts and 30 walks… Appeared in two games over 2.1 innings as a freshman… Also lettered two years in golf.
High School: Lettered four years in baseball, three in basketball and two in soccer for St. Michael's Prep… named All-State in baseball as a senior.
Personal: Son of David Archuleta and Marie Bowdish… mother, Marie, went to Long Beach State… majoring in communications.
