2006 (Junior): Appeared in just 14 games with nine starts, injuring his ankle in pre-game warmups on Mar. 24 and did not return ... Just missed getting a redshirt season ... Went for 5-for-25 (.200) ... Went for 2-for-2 which included a pinch-hit single at Cal on Feb. 12 ... Went 2-for-2 with a run at Texas.
Prior to LBSU: Played the 2004 and 2005 seasons at Golden West Junior College in Huntington Beach… named second team all-league as a sophomore after batting .330 with 12 steals, three homers and 20 RBIs… team were league champions his freshman year.
High School: Prepped four years in baseball and one in football at Lakewood High School… batted .383 batting average in 2003… named second team all-Moore League as a junior… Lancers were CIF finalists in 2002 and reached the second round in 2003.
Personal: Son of Jeff Woods and Karen Hester… majoring in economics.
