2008 (Junior): Taken in the 18th round of the MLB Draft, 555th overall, by the San Diego Padres ... Tied with David Roberts for second on the team in appearance with 26 ... Went 4-0 with two saves and a 1.76 ERA ... Was a part of two combined shutouts ... Struck out 33 in 30.2 innings while only walking five.

Prior to LBSU: Named first team All-Pacific Coast League in 2006 and 2007 for Palomar College... As a sophomore went 6-3 over 14 starts and a team-best 97.1 innings, posting a 2.96 ERA... Gave up 85 hits and struck out 11 and walked 19... As a freshman appeared in 16 games with 15 starts, going 9-2 with a 1.51 ERA over 101 innings... struck out 82 and walked 11, while giving up 74 hits... Redshirted the 2005 season.

High School: Earned two varsity letters in baseball at Ramona HS... named the Valley League's Pitcher of the Year in 2004 following a 6-6 record and 2.73 ERA... also named second team All-County... struck out 90.
