Long Beach State Tennis Announces 2026-27 Schedule

The Beach will host eight dual matches at Rhodes Tennis Center under newly named head coach Gertjan De Wilder
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State Women's Tennis has announced its schedule for the 2026-27 season, which features four fall tournaments, eight home dual matches and a balanced eight-match Big West slate.
The upcoming campaign will be the first for the Beach under head coach Gertjan De Wilder since the removal of the interim tag to his title.
Long Beach State begins the fall portion of the schedule at the Big West Fall Tournament from Oct. 1-4. The Beach will then compete at the ITA Southwest Regionals from Oct. 15-20 before closing October at the Dennis Rizza Intercollegiate, scheduled for Oct. 30 through Nov. 1. The fall season concludes at the CSUN Invite from Nov. 6-9.
Long Beach State returns to action in January by hosting the LBSU Winter Invite from Jan. 15-17 at Rhodes Tennis Center. The Beach will then travel for ITA Kick-Off Weekend from Jan. 22-24 before opening their dual-match schedule and the Big West season at home against UC Riverside on Jan. 27.
The Beach will remain at Rhodes Tennis Center to welcome New Mexico on Feb. 5 before beginning a four-match road trip. Long Beach State will face Northern Arizona on Feb. 11, Grand Canyon on Feb. 12 and Washington State on Feb. 13.
Big West competition resumes Feb. 19 when Long Beach State visits UC San Diego. The Beach will return home the following day for a nonconference matchup against Nevada on Feb. 20 before traveling to Loyola Marymount on Feb. 26.
March opens with Youngstown State visiting Rhodes Tennis Center on March 2. Long Beach State will then embark on their longest road swing of the season, playing five matches over seven days.
The trip begins with consecutive contests at UC Davis on March 11 and Sacramento State on March 12. The Beach will remain in Northern California to face Saint Mary's on March 13 before visiting Fresno State on March 17.
Long Beach State concludes the road stretch with a conference match at Cal State Fullerton on March 27.
The Beach return to Rhodes Tennis Center on March 28 to host Brown, beginning a four-match homestand that will carry into the final weeks of the regular season. Long Beach State welcomes UC Santa Barbara on April 2 and CSUN on April 10 before hosting Cal Poly in the home finale on April 16.
The regular season concludes April 17 with a Black and Blue Rivalry matchup at UC Irvine.
Long Beach State's eight-match Big West schedule is evenly divided between home and road competition. The Beach will host UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, CSUN and Cal Poly while traveling to UC San Diego, Sacramento State, Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.
The postseason begins with the Big West Championship, scheduled for April 28 through May 1.
