Men’s Golf Remains On The Road At Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational

The Beach will play a second tournament in their current trip after the William H. Tucker Invitational.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Men's Golf will play a second tournament on their current trip, continuing at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational hosted by the Buffaloes at the Boulder Country Club.
The Beach will utilize the same order that competed over the weekend in New Mexico, hoping to capitalize on their veteran leadership. Seniors Krishnav Chopraa and Jaden Huggins will play in the top two slots for the Beach. Huggins had his best round of the season so far with a three-under 69 in Albuquerque.
Junior Norwin Gohm has placed in the Top 20 in both tournaments this season, leading the way for Long Beach State at the William H. Tucker Invitational after a first round 66 that featured two eagles. Sophomore transfer Emil Albers will play fourth, and Bruce MacDonald rounds out the lineup following a strong first tournament at the Vuori Invitational, where the freshman tied for 11th place overall.
Freshman Enzo Persson had a pair of under-par rounds in his first tournament as an individual, and he will also competed as an individual in Colorado.
The 17-team field includes Air Force, Arkansas State, Boise State, Colorado State, Denver, Nevada, Northern Colorado, Pacific, San Diego, UMKC, Utah, Utah State, Utah Valley, UTEP, Wyoming, the Beach and Colorado. Long Beach State played well at this same tournament a season ago, placing third among 19 teams behind two returning programs, Arkansas State and Colorado.
