Long Beach State Lands Two On 2026 Big West Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Team

Senior forwards Radisson Banks and Cherrie Cox earn conference preseason recognition as the Beach is picked seventh in the Big West Coaches' Poll.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State women's soccer was represented by a pair of student-athletes on the 2026 Preseason All-Big West Team as senior forwards Radisson Banks and Cherrie Cox earned recognition ahead of the upcoming season.
Banks returns after emerging as one of the conference's top attacking threats, while Cox enters her senior campaign as another key piece of the Beach offense. The duo gives Long Beach State two of the 11 selections on the preseason squad.
In addition to the individual honors, the Beach was picked to finish seventh in the 2026 Big West Preseason Coaches' Poll with 72 points. Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara shared the top spot in the poll with 100 points each, followed by Cal State Fullerton and Utah Valley.
Long Beach State opens the 2026 campaign looking to build on its experienced core, led by Banks and Cox, as the Beach begin their pursuit of a Big West championship.
