Long Beach State carries an unbeaten record, a sweep of the weekly Big West awards and four straight shutouts into Saturday’s matchup.

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- After sweeping their first road trip of the season and all three Big West weekly awards, Long Beach State returns to George Allen Field to host Weber State on Saturday, August 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. as the unbeaten Beach look to build on a 3-0-1 start, the Beach's best start to a season since 2008.

KICKOFF
• Long Beach State returns to George Allen Field on Saturday, August 29, to host Weber State. The Beach enter the matchup unbeaten at 3-0-1 and riding a three-match winning streak.

• The Beach swept their first road trip of the season, defeating Fresno State 5-0 and New Mexico State 2-0.

• Weber State enters Saturday at 2-1-1 with two straight wins. The Wildcats defeated Wyoming 2-1 on the road before earning a 2-1 home victory over Oregon State.

• Long Beach State's performance on the road led to a sweep of the Big West weekly awards. Cherrie Cox was named Offensive Player of the Week, Aurora Schuck collected her second straight Defensive Player of the Week honor and Taylor Bellotti was selected as Rookie of the Week.

• Cox and Schuck both climbed the Long Beach State Record Book following the road trip. Cox is now tied for seventh in program history with 27 goals and ranks seventh with 65 points, while Schuck has moved into third with 14 shutouts, sixth with 140 saves and seventh with 14 wins.

• Cox turned in the biggest performance of the weekend with her first career hat trick at Fresno State. Kana Uchida added her first career goal and Bellotti scored her first collegiate goal to round out the 5-0 victory.

• Kailey Supa and Cassidy Drago provided the scoring at New Mexico State. Supa broke the scoreless tie before Drago added her first goal as a member of the Beach.

• Long Beach State has not allowed a goal through four matches. The Beach have held opponents to 29 shots and 11 shots on goal over 360 minutes, with Aurora Schuck stopping every attempt she has faced.

• The offense has also found its rhythm, scoring eight goals on 62 shots. Long Beach State has put 25 shots on frame and enters Saturday averaging 15.5 shots per match.

• Weber State comes to Long Beach with a 2-1-1 record and a two-match winning streak. The Wildcats earned consecutive 2-1 victories over Wyoming and Oregon State after opening the season with a 0-0 draw at Utah and a 4-1 loss to Boise State.

• Five different players have scored Weber State's five goals this season. Oakley Anderson leads the Wildcats with three points on one goal and one assist, along with team highs of eight shots and five shots on goal.

• Lauren Butorac has played every minute in goal for Weber State. She has made 21 saves with a .778 save percentage, allowing six goals and recording one shutout.

• Long Beach State entered the 2026 campaign following a 5-8-5 season in 2025. The Beach finished 2-4-4 in Big West play while scoring 21 goals and allowing 20.

• The Beach were picked seventh in the 2026 Big West Preseason Coaches' Poll with 72 points. Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara tied for the top spot with 100 points apiece, followed by Cal State Fullerton with 98.

• Cox and Radisson Banks were both selected to the Preseason All-Big West Team. Cox leads the Beach with four goals and eight points, while Banks is second on the team with three assists.

PLAYER NOTES
• Aurora Schuck was named Big West Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after posting shutouts at Fresno State and New Mexico State. The senior made three saves in each victory, stopping all six shots on goal she faced during the road trip.

• Schuck has started 40 consecutive matches and played every minute for the Beach during that stretch. Her four shutouts this season have raised her LBSU career total to 14, and she now owns 140 saves with a .749 save percentage at Long Beach State.

• Cherrie Cox earned Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors and was named to the TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week after recording the first hat trick of her career at Fresno State. Cox scored on all three of her shots as the Beach rolled to a 5-0 victory.

• Cox leads Long Beach State with four goals and eight points through four starts. She has 27 goals and 11 assists for 65 points in 52 career matches, with six of her goals going down as game-winners.

• Cox was the 2023 Big West Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference with 13 goals. She was also named the 2022 Big West Freshman of the Year following a five-goal, five-assist debut season.

• Taylor Bellotti was named Big West Rookie of the Week after scoring her first collegiate goal at Fresno State. The freshman has appeared in all four matches and started both games on the road trip, totaling one goal on four shots.

• Radisson Banks remains one of the most active players in the Long Beach State attack. She leads the Beach with 12 shots and six shots on goal and ranks second on the team with three assists. Banks has recorded one assist in each of the Beach's three victories.

• Banks picked up two assists in the win at Fresno State and now has four goals and eight assists for 16 points in 22 matches at Long Beach State. Including her time at Washington, she has 10 goals and nine assists in 57 career Division I appearances.

• Ameera White leads the Beach with four assists through four starts. The sophomore had a hand in three of the five goals at Fresno State and has already moved her career total to 10 assists in 22 matches.

• Zoe Willis has been on the field for every minute of Long Beach State's four shutouts. The senior captain also picked up an assist at Fresno State and has now started 47 of her 57 career matches.

• Jordan Candelaria has started all four matches in the midfield and played 274 minutes. The senior captain has four shots this season and enters Saturday with three goals and four assists across 55 career appearances.

• Kana Uchida scored the first goal of her career in the win at Fresno State. The senior has started three matches this season and now owns one goal and six assists in 59 career appearances.

• Natalie Arnold has come off the bench in all four matches, playing 131 minutes. She has appeared in 37 career matches with 20 starts, recording three goals and one assist.

• Cassidy Drago opened the scoring at New Mexico State with her first goal as a member of the Beach. Kailey Supa added the second goal to secure the 2-0 victory. It was the sixth career goal for the junior, who has 12 points in 39 appearances for the Beach.

• Ruby Mansour has started all four matches on the back line and played 327 of a possible 360 minutes. She has helped the Beach post four shutouts while contributing four shots at the other end.

• Kylie Perez played every minute during the season-opening shutouts against Saint Mary's and Colgate. The senior has made 32 appearances with 19 starts during her Long Beach State career.

THIS AND THAT
• Long Beach State is unbeaten at 3-0-1, with each of their first four results coming by shutout. The Beach have defeated Colgate, Fresno State and New Mexico State since opening the season with a scoreless draw against Saint Mary's.

• The Beach have not trailed at any point this season. They have played 360 minutes without conceding a goal and have held opponents to 7.3 shots and 2.8 shots on goal per match.

• Long Beach State owns a 62-29 advantage in shots and a 25-11 edge in shots on goal. The Beach have also taken 18 corner kicks compared to 12 for their opponents.

• Eight Long Beach State goals have come from five different players. Cox leads the way with four, while Bellotti, Drago, Supa and Uchida have each scored once.

• Banks has taken a team-high 12 shots, followed by Drago with 10 and Cox with eight. Banks also leads the Beach with six shots on goal.

• White's four assists are already more than halfway to her team-leading total of six from last season. Banks has three assists, while Drago, Emerson Obrist and Willis have one apiece.

• The Beach have scored four goals in each half this season. Defensively, they have kept opponents off the board in all eight periods played.

• Saturday's matchup brings together two teams coming off perfect road trips. Long Beach State went 2-0-0 with a 7-0 scoring margin, while Weber State won 2-1 at Wyoming before returning home to defeat Oregon State by the same score.

• Weber State has put 22 of their 42 shots on goal for a .524 shots-on-goal percentage. The Wildcats have scored four of their five goals in the first half.

• Mauricio Ingrassia is in his 23rd season leading the Beach. He earned his 200th career victory at Long Beach State on August 31, 2024, with a 2-1 win over Utah Valley and enters Saturday with a 212-151-61 career record.
