Women’s Volleyball Adds Two Division I Transfers Ahead Of 2026 Season

Long Beach State welcomes a pair of outside hitters in Kendal Murphy and Haumea Marumoto.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Volleyball has added two outside hitters who will provide an immediate impact as Division I transfers, welcoming Kendal Murphy from Baylor and Haumea Marumoto from Washington State.
Kendall Murphy | Outside Hitter | 6-3, Senior | Scottsdale, Ariz.
Kendall Murphy will close out her tremendous collegiate career with one final season with Long Beach State. Murphy was limited by injuries last season but was a key player for Baylor asa sophomore, starting 29 matches and finishing the season with 261 total kills while adding 226 digs and 33 blocks. Murphy was one of the top recruits in the nation coming out of high school.

Haumea Marumoto | Outside Hitter | 6-2, Junior | Honolulu, Hawaii
Haumea Marumoto has spent the last two seasons playing with Washington State, including making 15 appearances as a true freshman. A four-time all-state selection at Punahou High School, she helped lead her team to a state championship, making 373 kills throughout the season.
