Sor had a one-under 71 to lead the Beach in the first of three rounds from Tucson.

TUCSON, Ariz. – Junior Alyson Sor continued her strong spring play, beginning the MountainView Collegiate with a one-under 71 to tie for 9th overall after the first of three rounds.

Round One Results

Sor had three birdies and just one hole over par to start the tournament on Friday, leading the Beach in the first round at The Preserve Country Club. Freshman Kailey Yoon also had one of the best rounds of her collegiate career, carding a 72 to sit one spot behind Sor on the leaderboard, one stroke back.

Long Beach State's returning veterans had the other two counting scores on the day, as Erin Lee shot a 75 and Madison Le had a 76, while Emma Kang had the team's drop score in the first round.
