Indoor Beach School Records And Top Ten Marks Highlight Day 1 At Jarvis Scott Open

Long Beach State indoor track and field recorded one school record and multiple all-time top-10 performances Friday to open the two-day Jarvis Scott Open at the Texas Tech Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas.
LUBBOCK, Texas — One school record and several all-time top-10 marks highlighted a strong opening day for Long Beach State indoor track and field at the Jarvis Scott Open.
MEN
Tristyn Flores reset the Long Beach State indoor school record in the 60 meters, sprinting to a time of 6.69.
The Beach placed three athletes in the program's all-time top five in the event. Trey Sheron moved to No. 3 in school history with a 6.74, while Dre'Londe Johnson clocked a 6.85 to tie for fifth all-time.
WOMEN
KiiKii Brown turned in one of the top field performances of the day, leaping 19-9 1/2 in the long jump to rank No. 3 on the Long Beach State indoor all-time list.
Grace Stoddart cleared 12-7 1/4 in the pole vault to move into seventh in program history.
Amanda Javellana added a top-10 mark in the weight throw, recording a distance of 54-4 1/2 to rank ninth all-time.
On the track, Brandee Hollins posted a lifetime-best 56.62 in the 400 meters, moving into eighth in school history. Zamaria Mack also recorded a personal-best time of 8.72 in the 60-meter hurdles.
Long Beach State returns to the Sports Performance Center on Saturday to conclude the two-day indoor meet.
