Charlie Forster is the fourth Golfer of the Year from Long Beach State, while Rob Murray was named Coach of the Year for the third straight season.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Charlie Forster's outstanding season led to the senior becoming just the fourth player in program history to be named Big West Golfer of the Year, while head coach Rob Murray's efforts lifting the program to new heights brought the third-year leader a third Big West Coach of the Year honor.

Forster has been routinely ranked throughout the season, currently No. 31 in the nation, and was fantastic throughout the season on the way to being named the Big West Golfer of the Year. A two-time Big West Golfer of the Month selection, Forster won two tournaments, the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate and the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, setting a program record with a  score of 196 (-20) at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

Over the season so far, Forster is 40 strokes under par with a stroke average of 70.1, and has finished in the Top 20 in eight of this season's ten competitions, including at the Big West Championship, earning All-Tournament honors after a final round 63 to help the Beach secure a third straight title.

Guiding the team for Long Beach State is Rob Murray, who wins his third straight Big West Coach of the Year award. Pushing the team up into a Top 30 ranking, Long Beach State was secure in their place in the postseason even without winning the Big West Championship, but the Beach came through anyway, winning a third straight title in three years under the leadership of Murray. Long Beach State has won three tournaments already this season and are pushing for new ground, with a goal of reaching the NCAA Championship for the first time in the modern era of the program.

In addition to Forster, Long Beach State had three other players selected First Team All-Big West. Krishnav Chopraa's phenomenal performance at the Big West Championship helped the sophomore also earn first team honors. An All-Tournament Team selection after running away with the tournament, the individual medalist shot a 16-under par 200, tying the best score in Big West Championship history while winning the tournament by seven strokes.

Alejandro de Castro Piera has also put together a monster finish. With two runner up finishes behind Forster at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational and the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, the junior has spent most of the season ranked as an individual as well, currently No. 75 in the country. Under par across the season at -27, his 70.5 stroke average is second-best on the team, and has finished in the Top 20 eight times this season.

Senior Clay Seeber rounds out the All-Big West selections, earning First Team All-Big West for the second straight year. Seeber competed in eight tournament for the Beach, finishing in the Top 20 five times including a Top 5 finish at the Arizona Thunderbirds Invitational, putting up a 71.8 stroke average while passing over 100 rounds played representing Long Beach State over the course of his career.

Not to be left out, the final member of Long Beach State's regular lineup was named second-team All-Big West. Jack Cantlay was named second-team All-Big West for the second time after a solid season for the Beach. Cantlay's high finish of the year came at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Kauai, where the junior finished in fourth place with a 8-under par 202 after throwing up three straight rounds in the 60s, finishing the regular season with a stroke average of 72.1.

This season was the second time in program history five golfers were named All-Big West, and the first time in program history that all five were either on the first or second team. Four first team selections were also a new high for the program.

Long Beach State's postseason run begins on May 12, as the Beach was the fifth seed at the Urbana Regional hosted by Illinois.
