
Men’s Golf Duo Honored As PING All-West Region

The pair were both ranked in the Top 100 individually this past season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Senior Charlie Forster and junior Alejandro de Castro Piera were both selected as PING All-West Region following an outstanding 2024-25 season.
The Big West Men's Golfer of the Year, Charlie Forster was outstanding in his final campaign with Long Beach State. A two-time individual medalist during the season, Forster set a program record during his win at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, finishing 20-under par with a 196 while earning the second of his two wins during the season, the first coming at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate. He is currently ranked No. 32 in the country after finishing in the Top 10 at the NCAA Urbana Regional to finish his season.
Junior Alejandro de Castro Piera has also been ranked throughout the season, entering this week in the Top 100 at No. 87. The junior had a breakout season, with a pair of runner-up finishes behind Forster in those same two events and was -23 to par across the season with a 70.7 stroke average on the year.
With their All-Region selection, the pair are both eligible for All-America consideration which will be announced later this week.
