LONG BEACH, Calif. – Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced the recipients of Academic All-District honors for softball, celebrating high achievement in both academics and athletics. Long Beach State Softball had four student-athletes selected as Academic All-District honorees.

Nominees for this honor must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, hold at least sophomore academic standing, and meet stringent performance standards in their respective sports.

Senior Carly Robbins was named Academic All-District for the third consecutive season. A graduate student pursuing an MBA, Robbins started 41 games for Long Beach State, hitting .317 and earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the inaugural postseason Big West Championship. Over her career, Robbins started 142 games and represented the Big West at the NCAA Student-Athlete Forum last fall in Charlotte, N.C.

Jacquelyn Bickar was also a repeat Academic All-District selection. The senior started every game for Long Beach State this past season. As the team's leadoff batter, she finished her LBSU career ranked in the top 10 in both total runs scored and stolen bases in program history. A Health Care Administration major graduating in May, Bickar hit .297 this past season, led the team with 40 runs scored, walked 28 times, and posted an on-base percentage of .429, earning Second Team All-Big West honors.

Senior Corissa Sweet returned from injury to earn her first Academic All-District award. A President's Scholar majoring in Biochemistry, Sweet was one of just 25 students in her class selected for the highest merit-based academic scholarship awarded at Long Beach State, which has over 41,000 students. She finished the year second on the team in batting average at .324, led the team in stolen bases, and was named Honorable Mention All-Big West.

Honorable Mention All-Big West selection Brooklyn Lee was the final honoree for Long Beach State. The catcher transferred to the program this past season and made an immediate impact, hitting .304 and finishing second on the team with 28 RBIs. The sophomore is majoring in Molecular Cell Biology and Physiology.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
