Janae Leovao Ties For 11th As Women’s Golf Finishes Chevron Silverado Showdown

Levoao had another under-par round of 71 in her 8th Top 20 finish of the season.
NAPA, Calif. – Junior Janae Leovao led Long Beach State with a 71 Wednesday, her second straight round under par to help lead the Beach on the final day of the Chevron Silverado Showdown as the Beach climbed two spots as a team on the final day.
Final Results
Leovao, who shot a 70 on Tuesday, had a very consistent round two birdies and just one bogey on the day to finish with a 71, even par for the tournament with a score of 216, leading the way for Long Beach State who as a team had easily their best round of the tournament. With a score of 291, three-over as a team, Long Beach State moved past Washington and San Francisco and into 11th place overall in the 16-team field.
Jasmine Leovao helped those efforts on the final day, shooting a 72 to finish one stroke behind Janae on Wednesday. Hannah Jugar had her best round of the spring with a 74, matched with Erin Lee at +2 in the final round while Madison Le had the team's drop score Wednesday. All five golfers improved their final position on the last day.
Right around the corner is the Big West Championship, hosted at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas beginning on Sunday, April 13. All teams from the conference will try to wrest the crown from Long Beach State, the defending champions over three days of competition ending on Tuesday, April 15.
