Janae Leovao Rises To Tie For 17th Place With Second Round 70 At Chevron Silverado Showdown

The junior rose 21 places with her -2 under round on Tuesday.
NAPA, Calif. – Junior Janae Leovao and sophomore Erin Lee led the effort for Long Beach State on Tuesday as the Beach finished the second of three rounds at the Chevron Silverado Showdown.
Day Two Results
Janae Leovao had two birdies with no bogeys on the back nine to finish off a solid round of 70, climbing 21 places on the leaderboard to a tie for a17th place overall at +1 for the tournament after two of three rounds. The Beach also got a lift from Erin Lee, who finished her day with a birdie on nine to card a 74 and move up 12 places on the day.
Jasmine Leovao is second overall for LBSU in the tournament at +7 overall after a 79 on Tuesday. Junior Madison Le had the team's other counting score of 82 while Hannah Jugar struggled after a strong front nine as the Beach closed the day in 13th place overall in a strong field that included eight teams ranked in the Top 50.
