Women’s Golf In Fifth After Two Rounds At Silicon Valley Showcase

MILLBRAE, Calif. – Long Beach State rallied with a strong second round to finish tied for fifth after two rounds of play at the Silicon Valley Showcase.

Day One Results

After a 300 in the first round, Long Beach State had the third-lowest score of the second round, a two-over par 286 to climb two spots and sit four strokes out of third place behind the hosts Santa Clara and San Francisco, who share third after the first two rounds.

Junior Jasmine Leovao had a one-under par 70 in the second round, climbing into a tie for 12th at +2 after two rounds. Sophomore Erin Lee shot a 71 in the second round for a share of 21st overall, a spot tied with junior Madison Le, who had a consistent day with a 74 in the first round, tied for the best score on the team in round one, followed by a 73 in the second. Janae Leovao closed the day with a 72 at Green Hills Country Club, one strong behind Lee and Le in a tie for 32rd at 5-over. Hannah Jugar had the drop score for the team in both rounds.
