Women’s Golf Takes On Silicon Valley Showcase Starting Monday

Long Beach State Women’s Golf returns to Millbrae, Calif. to participate in the Silicon Valley Showcase for the third consecutive season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Golf will return again to participate in the Silicon Valley Showcase, heading to Green Hills Country Club for the third straight year as the teams continues the spring season.
With a ten-team field, Long Beach State will face the hosts, Santa Clara, as well as Boise State, Kansas State, Nevada, Pepperdine, San Francisco, Stanford, UC Irvine and Wyoming.
Junior Jasmine Leovao will lead the lineup for Long Beach State. She was the top finisher for the Beach at the Yale Invitational West, using a first-round 67 to finish 2-under par for the tournament in a tie for 13th. Leovao has finished in the Top 20 in every competition so far this season for the Beach.
Janae Leovao will play second. Janae was the top finisher for the Beach at the Bruin Wave Invitational in a tie for 11th place before tying for 22nd in the team's last action.
Sophomore Erin Lee had the highest tournament finish of her career at the Yale Invitational West, tying for 28th after three very consistent rounds capped by a final round 72 at PGA West. Junior Madison Le will play fourth for Long Beach State, and graduate transfer Hannah Jugar will round out the lineup.
