Women’s Golf Wraps Up Yale Invitational West

Junior Jasmine Leovao closed the tournament with a two-under 70 to finish in a tie for 13th.
LA QUINTA, Calif. – Junior Jasmine Leovao led Long Beach State in the third and final round of the Yale Invitational West, putting up her second round under par of the tournament with a two-under 70.
Final Results
Leovao closed the tournament with a 70, two-under par to finish the 54-hole tournament also two-under par, leading the Long Beach State lineup on Tuesday. Sophomore Erin Lee tied the lowest score of her young collegiate career, putting together an even-par 72 at PGA West to rise six sports up to 28th place overall.
Janae Leovao led Long Beach State in the second round Monday, and finished the tournament with a 76, finishing just outside of the Top 20 in a tie for 22nd place overall. Junior Madison Le had the team's other counting score Tuesday with a 78, while Hannah Jugar closed the tournament with an 80.
No. 15 North Carolina claimed the team championship, leading a strong field that featured seven teams ranked in the Top 50 finishing in the top eight spots of the field. Long Beach State was 10th, three strokes behind San Diego State and 23 strokes in front of the hosts, Yale.
Long Beach State will be back in action starting on March 24, taking part in the Silicon Valley Showcase hosted by Santa Clara at the Green Hills Country Club in Millbrae, Calif.
