Long Beach State will host the Big West Championship for the first time since 2019.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Following another successful year ranked sixth in the country and reaching the Big West Championship finals one more time, Long Beach State Women's Water Polo Head Coach Shana Welch announces the schedule for the 2026 season.

Long Beach State will kick off their season with three straight tournaments, heading to Fullerton, Berkeley, and La Jolla, playing four games each weekend. The Titans will host the Fullerton Mini on the first weekend of the season, January 16 and 17. The Beach will then head to Northern California for the Bridget Donner Daws Memorial Tournament, formerly the Cal Cup, on January 24 and 25. Closing the trio of tournaments, LBSU will take part in the traditional Triton Invite, hosted by UC San Diego, the following weekend.

The first home game of the season at the renovated Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center will feature the 2025 NCAA runners-up, USC, on February 7.

The Beach will open conference play at home, hosting both UC Davis and Hawai'i on February 27 and March 1, respectively.

The last tournament of the regular season for Long Beach State will be the Aztec Invite, hosted by San Diego State, where LBSU will play a pair of games before finishing the rest of conference play and hosting California in a non-conference matchup on March 25.

With the season shortened due to graduation dates, the Beach will host the Big West Championship for the first time since 2019 on April 10-12, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships in La Jolla, Calif.
