Rhiann Sheffie Earns CSC Academic All-District

Sheffie, an English Creative Writing major with a 3.96 GPA as a senior represented Long Beach State Women’s Volleyball.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Senior Rhiann Sheffie was selected to the Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team following an outstanding final season with Long Beach State.
Nominees for this honor must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, hold at least sophomore academic standing, and meet stringent performance standards in their respective sports.
Sheffie played in and started every match for Long Beach State, averaging 2.02 kills per set while hitting .307 and making 103 total blocks on the year, all while finishing her collegiate studies in English Creative Writing with a cumulative GPA of 3.97. The senior ranked in the Big West's Top 10 in both blocks per set as well as hitting percentage while helping the Beach finish the season with a 22-9 overall record.
