
Softball Adds Two In First Signing Class For Kendall Fearn

Lili Acosta and Jaeda Diaz have both committed to Long Beach State.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Kendall Fearn has signed two dynamic high school recruits as part of her first recruiting class for the 2027 season.
Jaeda Diaz | Infield | Coachella, Calif.
Jaeda Diaz has been rewriting offensive records as a dominant player in the Coachella Valley. Over the last three seasons with Indio High School, Diaz has hit .567, and has hit 41 total home runs. That included a state record-setting 19 home runs as a sophomore while playing primarily third base and hitting .681. Last year as a junior, Diaz hit 13 home runs with 14 doubles and nine walks, batting .478 overall.

"Jaeda brings an undeniable fire and competitiveness every time she steps on the field. She hits for plus power, is a force on the bases, and can play infield at high level. Beyond her accomplishments in softball, Jaeda is also a highly dedicated student and a standout multi-sport athlete, showcasing her all-around drive and commitment to excellence."
Lili Acosta | Pitcher/Utility | Chino Hills, Calif.
Lili Acosta is a two-way pitcher from Chino Hills, who has competed for Ayala High School over the last three seasons. As a junior, Acosta hit .329 with three home runs after hitting .403 as a sophomore, and has posted a career 2.14 ERA. Her best season so far came as a junior, where she went 10-0 with a 1.65 ERA and 55 strikeouts, allowing just 41 hits over 59.1 innings pitched. Acosta has also twice represented Mexico in youth international competition, most recently at the U18 level.

Long Beach State softball is set to begin the 2026 season, the first under new head coach Kendall Fearn, on February 6 at the LBSU Softball Complex.
