Long Beach State has finished in the top three in each of their tournaments in 2024-25.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – After a brief rest following two tournament in one week to open up the 2024-25 campaign, Long Beach State Men's Golf will take their longest trip of the fall to take part in the Badger Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin on their own University Ridge Golf Course.

Long Beach State tied for third to open the season at the Ram Masters Invitational in Fort Collins, and then later that week took third place at the William H. Tucker Invitational hosted by New Mexico in Albuquerque, going 27-4-1 against their competition in the two packed fields to open the season beginning on September 17.

Leading off the lineup will be Charlie Forster. The senior got off to a roaring start on the season with a 65 in his first competitive round, and finished the Ram Masters Invitational in the Top 5 with a 6-under par finish. Fellow senior Clay Seeber will play second for the team after finishing in a tie for second place on the team in each of the first two tournaments of the season. Seeber who was the runner-up at last year's Big West Championship and Forster have both shot par or under in four of the team's six rounds so far this season.

Junior Alejandro de Castro Piera finished in the Top 5 after three solid rounds at the William H. Tucker Invitational and will play third for the Beach. de Castro Piera opened his time in New Mexico with a two-under par 70 and closed the tournament with a 69 to finish 4-under par in Albuquerque.

Juniors Jaden Huggins and Jack Cantlay will round out the lineup for Long Beach State. The duo tied for 35th place overall in the team's last tournament in New Mexico, while Huggins shared a Top 20 finish at 18th overall with Seeber and de Castro Piera in Fort Collins.

Making his debut for Long Beach State will be the lone newcomer on the roster, as transfer Tiger Tahvildari will be playing as an individual at the Badger Invitational this weekend.

The tournament will give the Beach a unique opportunity to face a number of new programs as one of only two teams from the West Coast competing in the 16-team event. Along with the hosts Wisconsin and their Pacific Time compatriot, Washington State, the field includes Illinois State, Western Kentucky, VCU, Ball State, Southern Miss, South Dakota State, Green Bay, Nebraska, Winthrop, Minnesoty, Northern Illinois, Memphis and Southern Illinois.
