Seeber, Forster Both In Top Five After Day One Of 2024-25 Campaign

The senior duo tied for fifth place overall following two rounds at the Ram Masters Invitational.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Long Beach State Men's Golf is tied for fourth place overall in their first competition of the year, playing in the Ram Masters Invitational hosted by Colorado State.
Senior Charlie Forster used an eagle on hole one to pace the way to a first round 65, matching his career low with the five-under par round to start the day. Carding a 72 in the second round, he finished the day 3-under par, tied for fourth place with senior Clay Seeber. Seeber shot an even par 70 in the first round before making four birdies with just one bogey in the second round, a 67 to also end the day 3-under par.
Junior Jaden Huggins was also under par in the first round with a 68, and after a second round 73 sits in a tie for 25th overall. His score was just in front of Alejandro De Castro Piera, who had the most consistent day for the team with a one-over 71 in the first round followed by another 71 in round two. Jack Cantlay rounded out the team with a 73 in both rounds of the day.
"We fought hard today to hang around. Charlie and Jaden led the way this morning and kept us in it while the others didn't have their best stuff," said head coach Rob Murray. "The weather was challenging in the afternoon providing tough conditions, and I'm proud of how battled. Our best golf is ahead of us, and I'm ready to see what tomorrow brings."
Utah Tech finished the day in the team lead, in front of Colorado and hosts Colorado who shared second place. The Beach, Utah Valley and Idaho are tied for fourth.
