Long Beach State Qualifies 16 For NCAA Track Regional

11 Men; 5 Women advance to the post season for the Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif.—The Long Beach State men's and women's track and field teams have qualified 16 athletes for the NCAA West Preliminary Round that runs May 22-25 at the University of Arkansas.

Long Beach State's total is the second most among the 11 Big West school as Cal Poly's 17 lead the way. Powell has the highest seed on the men's side for the Beach as he is 17th in the 800m Denness-Lamont is the highest seed for the LBSU women as she is 16th in the javelin.
