Long Beach State On Top Of Leaderboard Headed Into The Final Round Of The Big West Championship

Clay Seeber with another solid round, shooting 2-under par and sits in third place headed into the final day
LA QUINTA, Calif. – Top-seeded Long Beach State had a strong all-around performance from all five players in the second round and is at the top of the leaderboard at 9-under par. The Beach players all sit in the Top 15 while senior Clay Seeber leads the charge in third place.
Long Beach State is shooting 9-under par for the tournament after a strong second round score of 7-under par. The Beach sit at the top of the leaderboard, three strokes ahead of second place Cal State Fullerton.
"Team showed a lot of fight and heart. All five guys are par or better," said Long Beach State Head Coach Rob Murray. "We have to keep the pedal down and be ruthless with our mentality going into the final round."
Seeber is leading the Beach with a tournament score of 7-under par. In his second round today, he played steady golf to put him in third place and one stroke off the lead.
Charlie Forster and Steen Zeman both sit tied for seventh after today's round. Forster climbed seven spots after shooting a 69, while Zeman's 70 puts him at 1-under for the tournament.
Jaden Huggins is not far behind after shooting even par in both rounds, including an eagle on the sixth hole today and is tied for ninth. Jack Cantlay shot an even par today and is tied for 13th.
The Beach will look to bring home another Big West trophy in the final round on Tuesday, April 30. The first tee times are set for 8 a.m. Beach fans can follow along at Golfstat.com.
