The top-seeded Beach are set to compete for The Big West Title April 28-30 at the La Quinta Country Club

LA QUINTA, Calif. – Top-seeded Long Beach State is set to compete in The Big West Men's Golf Championship from Sunday, April 28 – Tuesday, April 30 at the La Quinta Country Club.

The Beach, along with the eight other conference teams, will tee off on Sunday morning on the 7,056-yard course which is home to the American Express, formerly known as the Bob Hope Desert Classic on the PGA Tour.

This is the fourth-consecutive year The Big West Men's Golf Championships have been held at the La Quinta Country Club. Long Beach State was crowned the team champion in 2021 and 2023, as the Beach look to win their third title in the last four years.

"We're excited to have the opportunity to compete for a Big West Championship," Long Beach State Head Coach Rob Murray said. "We have prepared well and look forward to competing."

Murray will send a stacked Long Beach State lineup to The Big West Championships as senior Clay Seeber leads the way. Following Seeber is reigning Big West Men's Golfer of the Month Charlie Forster, while Steen Zeman, Jaden Huggins, and Jack Cantlay round out the remainder of the lineup.

Long Beach State will tee off in the first round at 10 a.m., along with No. 2 seed Cal State Fullerton, and No. 3 seed Cal Poly. No. 4 seed CSUN, No. 5 seed, UC Davis, and No. 6 seed Hawaii will begin action at The Big West Championship at 10:50 a.m., while No. 7 seed UC Irvine, No. 8 seed UC Santa Barbara, and No. 9 seed UC Riverside will start at 11:40 a.m.

Monday's second-round pairings will be set by first round scores, and will begin at 10 a.m., with the leaders off the tee first. Tuesday's championship round is set for 8 a.m. with a split tee start.

The Big West Champion will earn an automatic berth into the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships, and the individual medalist will also earn a place in the regional field if not already a member of the winning team, nor a team chosen for an at-large selection.

The Big West Championship is free and open to the public. Spectators are encouraged. For those who can't make it out to the desert, but would like to follow the action, Live Scoring will be available via GolfStat.com.
