Patton Shutout Cal State Fullerton For Seven Innings
LONG BEACH, Calif.—Long Beach State's Myles Patton was named Big West Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 25.
Patton led the Dirtbags to a 5-2 victory on Mar. 22. The 6-3 sophomore lefty shut out the Titans over the first seven innings, limiting Cal State Fullerton to five hits. Patton struck out seven and did not walk a batter. He threw 99 pitches, 71 for strikes. He is 2-2 with a 3.37 ERA in 2024. Patton has struck out 48 and has walked 10 in 34.2 innings this season.
Long Beach State (13-8-1, 3-3 Big West) travels to Cal State Bakersfield (4-19, 1-5 Big West) this week for a three-game series that begins on Thursday. ESPN+ coverage starts at 6 p.m.
