
Steen Zeman Is Tied For First After Round One Of The Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate

Zeman, who is competing as an individual, is in first with a 6-under par as the Beach are in a tie for fifth place after the first 18 holes
HENDERSON, Nev. – Long Beach State junior Steen Zeman fired a 66 for 6-under par on the first day of action at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate to tie for first place. Joining Zeman in the Top 10 are teammates Charlie Forster and Clay Seeber who both finished 3-under par on the day and are tied for eighth place. As a team, LBSU sits tied for fifth place on the leaderboard with 3-under bar after one round of the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate.
Playing in just his second competition of the year, Zeman, who is competing as an individual, shot a 66 as he birdied seven holes jumping to the front of the leaderboard. He is currently tied with Little Rock's Archie Smith as both are 6-under par after the first round.
The No. 49 Beach are tied for fifth place with Middle Tennessee State after a first round score of 3-under par. Little Rock is the leader at 11-under par, followed by Santa Clara at 10-under, No. 37 South Florida at 8-under, and Stetson at 7-under.
Charlie Forster had a slow start before responding with five birdies and a bogey-free back nine to bring his first round to 3-under. Clay Seeber tied with Forster's first round score after he fired six birdies. They both sit in eighth place and are three strokes behind leaders Zeman and Smith.
Isaac Rodea finished his first round with five birdies and is one-over par. Jaden Huggins shot a 74 and Jack Cantlay finished with a 76 after their first rounds.
Long Beach State will start the second round Tuesday, February 27. Beach fans can follow along at golfstat.com.
