Beach Men’s Golf Ready For Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate

Long Beach State will begin action in the three-round tournament on Monday, Feb. 26
LONG BEACH, Calif. – This week, the Long Beach State Men's Golf team heads to Henderson, Nev., to compete in the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate at Reflection Bay Golf Club. The three-round tournament begins on Monday, February 26 and will conclude Wednesday, February 28. Fans can follow the live scoring of the event via GolfStat.com.
"We are excited to compete at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate at Reflection Bay," Long Beach State Head Men's Golf Coach Rob Murray said. "It's a course we're familiar with and always presents a good challenge. The field consists of a competitive 22-team field."
In addition to No. 49 Long Beach State, the teams in the field include Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, DePaul, Kansas City, Little Rock, Louisiana, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, North Texas, Northern Illinois, Santa Clara, South Alabama, No. 37 South Florida, Southern Illinois, Stetson, Texas State, Toledo, UAB, UNC Wilmington, Utah Tech, and No. 45 VCU.
The Beach will send its starting lineup of senior Clay Seeber, junior Charlie Forster, sophomore Jack Cantlay, sophomore Jaden Huggins, and senior Isaac Rodea to the green. Junior Steen Zeman will be competing as an individual.
Long Beach State is looking to improve upon its seventh-place finish at the John Burns Intercollegiate on Saturday, Feb. 17. The Beach finished shooting an even 864 and were the top finishers among Big West competition. Seeber led the way with a 6-under par performance to place in the Top 5.
Last season, the Beach turned in an excellent showing at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate. LBSU finished third with a 10-under par performance as Cantlay paced the squad with a 9-under effort as he came in tied for third.
