Softball To Host Leadoff Dinner January 25

The now annual tradition will feature an opportunity to meet the team and a special guest speaker.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Softball will once again host their leadoff dinner, this year to be held on Saturday, January 25 at The Pointe on the Long Beach State campus.

                Scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on January 25, the leadoff dinner is an early opportunity to meet the 2025 team, help support student-athlete scholarships through attendance and silent auction items, as well as hear from an all-time great of the program.

                This year's speaker is Anette Gonzales Christie, a key member of some of the program's early teams that helped build the tradition and culture of Long Beach State, making two straight NCAA Regional appearances in 1988 and 1989, earning all-conference and all-region honors in the process.
